Why?

This is a post from a couple of years ago, but it is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do!

"Hello!  My husband and I are new foster parents in Missouri.  We received our first placement in October, two very small, very dirty three year olds.  I received the call at about 3:30 in the afternoon while I was still at work and had just enough time to pick up bedding for a little boy (we only had girl things) before they showed up at our door.  I'm not sure who was more terrified, us or them!  They brought a backpack with them from their house but we were instructed not to open it or even leave it in the house.  The investigator told us because of the living conditions we needed to keep the backpack outside or in our garage until we could go through it and wash everything thoroughly.  Fortunately, they also each received one of your Bundles of Hope.  I can honestly say that we wouldn't have made it through that first night without your bundles.  We had everything we needed to clean them up, get them fed, and put to bed.  In addition, those backpacks became those children's most prized possessions.  I cannot say thank you enough!"

Receiving letters like these are what keep us going through the times when we begin to doubt ourselves and our ministry. Thank you all so much for supporting us through the times of blessing as well as the times of doubt! This verse is one of our favorites because it is so true!

"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12

Now just think, What would happen if we all joined together? Not one, not two, not even just three of us but ALL of us working to further God's Kingdom in our own ways. Then we would truly be invincible.
